ETNA ALCANTARA TOUR of Tourist Sicily includes:
Pick-up point near your Hotel/B&B , in the morning with departure at 8:30 am and return back at 5:30 pm.
Join our Etna AlcantaraTour! With the full support of our expert guide, you will live the adventure of visiting the Silvestri craters of the eruption of 1892 (with a visit inside one of the craters); a cave of lava flow (flashlights and helmets provided by us); the lava flows of the eruptions of 1992 or 2002 (depending on weather conditions), the most important of all the eruptions.
The route continues along a path characterized by ancient lava flows and breathtaking landscapes.
In the afternoon you will visit the Alcantara Gorge, an extraordinary rocky canyon where you will have free time to enjoy this fantastic naturalistic site.
To visit the lava flow cave you will need protective shoes (sneakers minimum) and rock shoes and swimsuit are recommended for the Alcantara Gorges.

09:30 AM - Volcano Etna
Trekking on mount to valley called Valle del Bove
12:00 AM - Visit cave
Return to 2,000 meters, our guide will drive you to visit a lava cave using torches and helmets.
14:00 PM - Traditional lunch
Light Lunch with soft drink an sicilian products
15:00 PM - Move to Alcantara Gorge
Visit extraordinary rocky canyon where you will have free time to enjoy this fantastic naturalistic site.
17:30 PM - Return in Catania
The tour will end at the initial meeting point.

I was visiting from out of state with my family, most of whom had never experienced something like this before, and we thought it would be a good idea - we're sure glad that we did! Of course not! Our tours are all-inclusive. You don’t have to pay anything else if the tour doesn’t include it.
Recommended clothing varies according to season:
–> November to March
We recommend a winter jacket, long trousers, a woollen hat and sturdy waterproof shoes.
–> April to May
The weather and temperatures are very variable, so we suggest winter clothing in layers, sneakers.
–> June to September
The weather and temperatures are pleasant, we suggest a t-shirt, trousers or shorts, trainers. (in any case, always bring a light jacket or K-way in case of passing storms).
–> October
The weather and temperatures are very variable, so we suggest winter clothing in layers, sneakers.
You can cancel your booking by e-mail or directly on WhatApp
In the event of a storm you will be contacted to cancel or reschedule the tour. In case of cancellation or impossibility to reschedule, we will provide a refund (if pre-paid).
The itineraries are the same. Etna Morning Tour takes place in the morning and includes a typical Sicilian lunch. Etna Sunset Tour takes place in the afternoon and includes a reinforced aperitif at sunset.
We have room for 6 to 8 people in our vehicles. The number of persons may vary according to Covid-19 restrictions.
Certainly! You can rent hiking boots (5 euros), windbreakers (5 euros) and more. If you are interested, you must indicate this on the check out page when you make your booking.
