ETNA TAORMINA TOUR

With full support of our trained guide, you will be able to experience the adventure of visiting Silvestri craters, from 1892 eruption (you will walk inside one crater); one lava flow cave (with torches and helmets provided by us); lava flows from 1992 or 2002 eruptions (according to weather conditions), the most destructive of the last 50 years.
Protective shoes (sneakers will be adequate) are required to visit the lava flow cave.
In the afternoon you will visit Taormina, where you can enjoy the beauty of the medieval and baroque buildings, framed in the breathtaking scenery of the Ionian coast dominated by mount Etna.

09:30 AM - Volcano Etna
Trekking on mount to valley called Valle del Bove
12:00 AM - Visit cave
Return to 2,000 meters, our guide will drive you to visit a lava cave using torches and helmets.
14:00 PM - Traditional lunch
Lunch pause with sicilian products
15:00 PM - Move to Taormina
Free afternoon in Taormina
17:30 PM - Return in Catania
The tour will end at the initial meeting point.

Recommended clothing varies according to season:
–> November to March
We recommend a winter jacket, long trousers, a woollen hat and sturdy waterproof shoes.
–> April to May
The weather and temperatures are very variable, so we suggest winter clothing in layers, sneakers.
–> June to September
The weather and temperatures are pleasant, we suggest a t-shirt, trousers or shorts, trainers. (in any case, always bring a light jacket or K-way in case of passing storms).
–> October
The weather and temperatures are very variable, so we suggest winter clothing in layers, sneakers.

In the event of a storm you will be contacted to cancel or reschedule the tour. In case of cancellation or impossibility to reschedule, we will provide a refund (if pre-paid).
The itineraries are the same. Etna Morning Tour takes place in the morning and includes a typical Sicilian lunch. Etna Sunset Tour takes place in the afternoon and includes a reinforced aperitif at sunset.
We have room for 6 to 8 people in our vehicles. The number of persons may vary according to Covid-19 restrictions.
